Whether you plan on selling your home or want to stay there for a few more years, it’s very important to improve the value of your home.
There are five areas you should focus on when making improvements to your home:
- Curb appeal and landscaping. Improve the value of your home by making a great first impression. Spruce up the yard, trim back the shrubs, and replace the lawn if need be. You want that clean, crisp look. The same is true for the backyard. Landscaping has a tendency to get overgrown, and you want to keep that well-maintained.
- Update your kitchen. Quartz countertops are replacing granite countertops. White cabinets and open shelving are more popular, and people are interested in a clean, modern look.
- Update your flooring. Clean or replace carpet. A lot of people are taking carpet out of high-traffic areas, and hard floors are more popular—whether that’s hardwood, laminate, or tile that looks like wood.
